My African people cannot believe you would have a toilet inside the house. Imagine doing all that crap inside the place where you live. I was in Solola, Guatemala close to Panajachel, Guatemala on Lago Atitlan buying some food in a larger grocery store. I looked at the checkout girls name tag and it has "Wal-Mart."
The store name was Dispensa. I was quite happy, I have traveled for 10 years and 79 countries and one thing I miss about the USA is Wal-Mart. Truly one the world's cheapest stores.
Wal-Mart is a lame place to shop. It is one of the world's cheapest stores at the cost of human lives and dignity...their products are affordable for United States citizens because poor people around the world are forced to work long, hard hours slaving away in sweatshops for next to no pay...often working in abusively dangerous conditions and with toxic materials. For someone who has traveled the world, you do not seem to be very conscious or concerned about people around the world if you support and miss Wal-Mart...
SUPPORT fair trade, village-based economies, locally owned business, etc.
