Professor Linda Tuhiwai Smith (Ngâti Awa and Ngâti Porou) is a Professor of Education and Mâori Development and Pro Vice Chancellor Mâori at The University of Waikato/Te Whare Wânanga o Waikato. Professor Tuhiwai Smith is known internationally as a researcher, educator and public speaker on issues related to Indigenous education, development and research methodology. Her critically acclaimed book, Decolonizing Methodologies: Research and Indigenous Peoples, transformed the fields of educational research and critical epistemology.
